It was truly such a pleasure to work with Jordan, a local Chicago bride, on the paper elements for her wedding day this past year. Her beautiful destination wedding in Ireland was shot by Christina Brosnan of Brosnan Photographic. Honored to be a part of such a creative team- other vendors include florals by Ashley Beyer of Tinge Floral and planning and event design by Pearl and Sheena through Pearl and Godiva.
It was such a joy to see our Garden Party editorial featured in the first print edition of Utterly Engaged! The picturesque location, Gardens of Bella Vita, impeccable styling of Joy Proctor Design, gorgeous florals by Kelly Kaufman, and swoon worthy photography by Jose Villa brought this garden dream to reality. It was a privilege to work with this team and put together corresponding watercolored and hand calligraphed paper goods!
As seen in print... thanks again, Utterly Engaged!
Hey friends! Check out this beautiful post featuring Feast calligraphy on SMP Massachusetts late last week!
Loved working with Samantha Finigan & Whitney Swaffield over at Gus & Ruby Letterpress several months back. I sent over some custom calligraphy to marry (see what I did there?) with their beautiful, custom letter-pressed paper designs. Samantha & Whitney styled this shoot to the nines. I keep thinking- "haphazard elegance." Gorgeous color combinations. What can these girls not do?
Beautiful floral design by Petal Floral Design, and captured by Emilie Inc. Photography. See the full post with lots of other beautiful wedding details with the rest of the fabulous vendors involved here.
Thank you, Style Me Pretty!
Could not hold back from sharing these photos with you this morning!
Thank you, Aimee Mazzenga, for capturing the beauty that was this wedding and the privilege that it was to see my work included. And thank you to the rest of you for celebrating Feast's feature in this well-known and loved magazine with me- it was so fun to receive pictures from friends purchasing the magazine in stores and many words of encouragement in person and via the web. I am so blessed to have been offered this opportunity and blessed to have the opportunity to share it with you! xo Alissa"But I trust in your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in your salvation." I am so thankful for the gifts, talents, and generosity of my friend Carolynn Seibert. This much-needed and much-simpler-to-navigate website would not have been possible without her! I am so thankful for her time and patience with me in building it. Not only is she incredibly capable of web design + development, but a Baton Rouge based wedding photographer shooting beautiful, light filled images. An incredibly talented girl in many areas. Take a look at her work here and hire her for your wedding!
I also want to thank the woman, the legend, the WRITER Amie Kiehn for her help in the writing portions of my new site, as well as the designer/artist/photographer/producers Aimee Mazzenga and Jonny Mendez. All very near and dear to my heart.
Also to share with you today- a few fun shots, thanks to Aimee Mazzenga, of the newest edition of Martha Stewart Weddings. Its on newsstands and filled with beautiful wedding details! Pick one up and flip to page 371 for the feature including Feast calligraphy! xo Alissa
It was early last year that Biz Zast, a marketing and PR director (with a knack for incredibly creative wedding planning and styling) in New York, NY contacted me to work with her and Cheree Berry of Cheree Berry Paper on what I had no idea would be a slam dunk (excuse my less-than-classy-description- but that is what it was) of a wedding- in class, elegance, and detail.
I cannot express what an honor it is to have my calligraphy featured alongside the chic designs of Cheree Berry Paper (I feel a bit out of my league, here!), on Martha Stewart Weddings online and also in print. Without a doubt, a highlight of my artist career thus far.
See the full feature here depicting a fantastically classy, one of a kind wedding that took place at thoroughbred sales and auction house in Saratoga Springs, New York:
- Stationary including Feast calligraphy, incorporated into the invitation, reception, details cards and outer envelope,
- A “track bag” that must have been a glorious goody bag to receive as a guest, including Feast calligraphy printed on the outside of the bag, as well as a “See you on Sunday!” envelope including tickets to the races, a booklet of betting tips, a newletter outlining the best local spots, racing-form pencils…
- Keepsake cocktail glasses with the couple’s favorite cocktail, “Dark and Stormy,” written in Feast calligraphy on the front, with the recipe included on the back, as well as matching napkins printed with “Biz and Micah” in Feast calligraphy…
Thank you to all who made this possible (am I writing a speech here? I better stop.) But really, truly. Thank you for all who follow me here and are such celebrators of my work and journey! I love you all.
Today I thought it would be nice to get out of the house and get some work done at our local coffee shop. I drove about a minute down the road, hit the brakes, barely avoided swerving into oncoming traffic and decided that the snowstorm had won. I’m not complaining. I love working as I watch the the wet snow fall outside my window. And I love the thought of being cooped up indoors because of it.
Place cards, crisp black ink on white
Congratulations to Julie and Paul!

Loved this photos of save-the-date envelopes sent my way by a recent client. Thank you Jenna, for showing me the finished product… complete with international stamps (something about working with clients overseas makes my job feel REAL and so exciting)… and a wax seal.
Thanks again, Jenna!
